Harvesting & Haulage

Harvesting and Haulage

We cover essential aspects of the forest industry such as:

  • Training in the harvesting of timber using harvester and forwarder machinery, including optimising the resource
  • Training and assessment in the haulage of timber in the forest
  • Scheduling and maintenance of machinery
  • Allied skills such as chemical use, chainsaw operation and fire fighting
  • The management of environmental risk, such as biodiversity, soil, water and cultural features

Warehousing

It involves a defined range of skilled operations, usually within a range of broader related activities involving known routines, methods and procedures, with some discretion and judgement in selecting equipment, services or contingency measures and within known time constraints.

Customer Engagement

This qualification reflects the role of individuals with excellent communication and interpersonal skills who undertake complex customer interactions, often as a team leader and with significant authority to delegate.

Duties at this level are varied and may include responding to complex customer requests handling complaints, coaching staff and completing related administrative tasks
